Visit Our Model Log Home

Our 7200 sq. ft model log home and office in Stevens Point, WI is a three level design, with a two story central great room. The exterior features 10" true half log siding with partial cope corners. The stain is Sikkens Log & Siding Butternut on the the building, with the exterior handrail Sikkens Log & Siding Natural Oak. The handrails themselves are northern white cedar; the log siding and corners are a mixture of red and white pine; the most prevalent species of pine in Wisconsin.

Our log home and office model was completed in 2008 and was shown in the Stevens Point/ Golden Sands Home Builders Association Parade of Homes that June.

As you walk into our model you will notice a handcrafted staircase to the right and our custom kitchen (designed by Dombeck Custom Cabinetry) to your left. The kitchen cabinets are alder, a very popular cabinet wood species.

The great room, straight ahead of you, features a large fire place and cathedral ceiing.

A 14 window all-log conference room forms the prow front of the building, with all 14 windows encased in our half log trim. The conference room features all of our three standard sizes of siding with clear stain for a light, open, airy feeling. It also incorporates a cypress floor and a large mahogany table.The entry and great room also showcase our 10" half log siding. You'll see examples of classic log home accessories and contemporary interior furnishings interspersed throughout all the rooms.

The master suite, off the north hall to your right, features our 8" true half log siding and our 1x6 cedar tongue and groove hickory flooring, with a full log archway into the master bathroom. The master bathroom utilizes a full western red cedar counter with hickory cabinets, and a full tub with separate shower room. The master suite also features a walkway made of pebbles.

As you make your way down the south hallway to the left, we've used each office to demonstrate a different size siding and stain color. The second floor features a loft with a sitting room, hickory flooring throughout and our 7" cottage siding. The ceilings in the entryway, great room, and kitchen are of 1x6 tongue and groove pine.

Since half-log construction is completely compatible with current advanced building technologies, our log model is a fully wired "smart home", with centrally controlled and programmed heating, cooling, lighting, security, and sound. A single Clipsal Lighting Control LCD panel display, duplicated throughout the home, controls everytthing. Internal and external lighting are timer controlled, with motion sensor activation and optional manual control. Sound is distributed through in-wall and ceiling speakers, and can be linked to video in the great room. Security screens can be displayed on the home network or remotely over the internet. Heating and lighting status and programming are also remotely controllable.
